14 December, 2023

Overview

River Yamuna, a vital water body running across several states in India, has faced severe degradation due to pollution, encroachment, and overuse.

The conference aims to approach these challenges and suggest a sustainable roadmap for the revival of the Yamuna River, leading to the development of Modi Parvat as symbol of integrated revival of Yamuna.

Conference Sessions

  • Innovative Technologies: Exploring the use of advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence & data analytics, satellite remote sensing and bathymetric survey, dredging for cleaning silts, modelling and forecasting, and other possible technologies for rejuvenation of Yamuna.
  • Ecological Restoration: Work towards the river’s ecological health by restoring its natural flow, riparian vegetation, and biodiversity.
  •  Community Participation: Engaging local communities in the restoration and rejuvenation process through community-based conservation initiatives, awareness, and education programs.
  • Towards Modi Parva
