From a recently posted article it seems like the focus is on projects aimed at cleaning the Yamuna River in Delhi, involving significant investments and upgrades to sewage treatment facilities. Following projects are being taken up-
- 33 projects have been approved for the River Yamuna, aiming for a sewage treatment capacity of 2,130 million litres per day at a cost of Rs 5,911 crore.
- The government is collaborating with experts for effective dredging and has plans for both upgrading existing plants and constructing new ones.
- Monitoring and compliance with sewage treatment standards are being ensured through regular assessments by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee.
